  • Back

I should be writing my articles instead of blogging, so this will be short. I’m connected again, so I’ll be posting regularly.

    I turned 45 today.

I had the joy of taking my daughter to get her very first pointe shoes this afternoon. What a blessing.

I guess that’s all for now.

  • Happy birthday, sis!   I’m trying hard to catch up with you     Love you!

  • I suck…I forgot your birthday.  I’m so sorry.  I love you.  ~Me

  • I did not realize we shared the same birth month, separated by a mere 38 years. Happy birthday and waiting for the next dance in the waning evening light.

    Papa

  • @Sheabyshea -

You do NOT suck. You were miserable yesterday. I thought of you all day and have been thinking of you pretty much all the time. I love you, Boo. I wish I could take away your pain.

  • When the wind of winter
    Swirls the snow
    Beyond my window sill
Then you and I will dance
    My love
In each other we will thrill

    Papa

  • @schoepflin67526 -

    When winter breezes gently blow
    And stir the southern air
    I’ll listen for the music
    As it calls from everywhere
And though the bitter cold won’t come
    To chill this Lady Blue
My heart will sing as once again
I dance to thoughts of you

  • Ah, but behold the beauty
As light on snow doth shine
When ice forms a million prisms
And I recall when you were mine.

If but only for a moment
While we flew on fragile wings
    With fingers gently touching
Our souls relieved of other things

    Papa

  • @schoepflin67526 -

My heart grows faint to hear you say
    It once belonged to you
As though it could be stolen
By what time might deftly do
    I’m unable to imagine
There could ever turn a year
When my soul would cease its longing
For a waltz with you, my dear

  • I did not mean I might have lost you
But time and distance takes its toll
As when we look not at our savior
And loose the music in our soul.

We grew concerned with other missions
Said not “I love you” as before
‘Til as the raven in the sonnet
We uttered sighs of “Ever More”

There has been an empty longing
A missing flavor in my stew
Ah, but now I’ve found the secret
    ‘Twas the lovely Lady Blue.

    Papa

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY Lisa!!!! You don’t look a day over 29!!!!

Love the little sonnets going on there…

  • @chickie_babe -

Bless your heart! Thanks. LOL (I’m enjoying the word-dances, too.)

My dear man, I have to tell you
    That I am quite relieved
    You know I’d never wander
As I feared you once believed

We have far too much holding us
    To ever risk the chance
    Of getting separated
As we carry on our dance

    So tango on, beloved,
While I am here with you
And you will be my poet-knight
    And I your Lady Blue

  • In the press of other issues
You have brought a ray of hope
    Which creates a glowing sunbeam
So that with life I now can cope.

I have seen lives that have been wasted
Dreams of others come to naught
    While you remain a vision
Of the joy that love has wrought

So wait for me just yonder
By the breakers on the sands
And I will join you late this even’
Where I will feel your tender hands

    Papa

  • I’ve watched that child of yours grow up in pictures over the years.  Wow!  She gets more beautiful every new pic … and toe shoes.  That’s amazing.  I’m lucky to make it through the day without tripping over my own feet only a couple of times.

  • That makes my feet hurt to look at those!  Happy belated birthday.

  • Happy Birthday!  Love you, my darlin’ heart!  *hugs*

(makes my toes hurt too.  lol)

  • @fridays_child -

You always make my heart smile. :o )
