    I’ve been listening to that song a lot lately. Could be because Imogen Heap’s voice intrigues me. It could be because the lyrics are almost haunting in their intuitive quality.

    I feel broken tonight. For reasons I don’t even have the strength to go into at the moment. I just feel like I need to rest tonight. Rest and get ready for greeting tomorrow with a cheery smile and a will to have fun with the kids and forget about discouragement and disillusionment and love I thought was for a lifetime and not just for a season.

    I just need to rest.

    I’m at a loss for words, and will wait until you can let me know the meaning of this.

    Love You — Papa

    Papa

  • My prayers are with you. It sounds like you are the most recent in what is a too often lived story.

  • {{{hugs}}} I’m praying, Sis. Please talk to me whenever you are ready. I hope that it doesn’t mean what it sounds like. :(

    I’m not sure what it sounded like, but reading back over it, I can see how it could definitely be taken to mean things it doesn’t. Just to clarify, I was feeling disillusioned over a friend’s seeming refusal to communicate–and that is something that tears me apart. I feel like we can deal with anything if we can just talk about it, but when the other party won’t respond…well, you know what that has done to me in the past because you’ve held my hand through it many times (which I won’t ever forget). Anyway, things are better and I am feeling better. Is this what I have to look forward to on a regular basis as I age? Is this what becoming an old lady does to people? EEEK. ;)

    I love you, Sis.

  • (Sigh of relief!)  I’m sorry that someone is not communicating back with you, but oh am I so glad that it wasn’t what it sounded like! I was afraid there was trouble in paradise. {{{hugs}}}  Yes, I know what it does to you, and what it does to me, too. I’m here for you, Sis, please don’t ever forget that. I hope that I haven’t missed responding to anything. If that ever happens, please know that it is totally unintentional. You know my computer hates me. :)   I’m glad that you’re feeling better.

    Nah, I don’t think that getting older has anything to do with this. I think it is just where society in general is heading.

    I love you, too, Sis. {{{hugs}}}
